"natural" dyeing

onion skins (great deep color), hibisicus (pale), sandalwood (pale), turmeric (gorgeous) and indigo (always lovely)

  1. These are all lovely! Is the turmeric dye the one on the top? I seem to have accidentally acquired a lifetime supply. Your shibori is fantastic.

  2. The turmeric is the second one. It's lighter this time than other times I've used it. I used it before and got bright colors.

    It's great stuff, so you can experiment like crazy if you have a lot! :D

    The image here shows how pretty it can be. I used turmeric for the bottom three towels. It's a lovely cool color.

  3. These colors are so vibrant! I was in Peru in January and just like watching the weavers there, I can believe the colors you can get from natural dyes!
