The Rite: The Making of a Modern Exorcist

The Rite: The Making of a Modern ExorcistThe Rite: The Making of a Modern Exorcist by Matt Baglio

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It answered questions about exorcism that I as Catholic had wondered about. I thought the style of writing was fitting for the subject matter. I felt like I had met these hard working people who put such a serious effort into fighting evil. One reviewer described Father Carmine as 'grizzled'. I didn't read it that way at all. Father Carmine was exhausted at the end of the day, who wouldn't be? If you have any interest in this subject, you will find this book quite informative.

  1. I imagine this might be good reference material for a writer. I'll check it out.

  2. I really liked the information. I am a believer, so it was something I really wanted to read. It was good to read something without the lore and superstition. But your beliefs may be different and you may find the whole thing lore and superstition.

If you haven't seen the move, don't expect much. It wasn't even close to the book. Well, the name was the same.
