I had about three pounds of gorgeous, ripe, juicy, completely flavorless plums. I rarely cook with fruit. I prefer to eat it fresh. But these plums have no flavor, so I made plum galette. The plum galette (while not pretty, it's my first) is much tastier than the plums are. :)
I used the all butter crust listed in the recipe. It's a bit sturdier than my usual crust and was easy to work with.
I still have about two pounds of plums. I'm thinking of making a few more of these in a smaller size and then freezing them for this winter when fruit isn't so good.
