a recent amazon order:

The Last Oblivion: Best Fantastic Poetry of Clark Ashton Smith Lost Worlds (Bison Frontiers of Imagination) Ghost and Horror Stories of Ambrose Bierce The Complete Poems of Sappho Bienfang 20 yards by 12-Inch wide Sketching and Tracing Paper Roll

  1. Ah Sappho - frequently mentioned in Nick Cave records, for some reason. Why those picks?

  2. Sappho says so much with so few words. I just enjoy poetry. I'm not a scholar and I don't want to be.

I spent my younger years reading mostly classic literature. I want to have fun now. So I'm reading the old 'pulp' writers. These last choices (other than Sappho) just sound fun. Sometimes it's not so good, but usually it's enjoyable.
